After working in the resort and catering industry for over 10 years,
Wedding Concepts founder, Erika Eliasen, saw a crucial need for
professional wedding coordinators in the Phoenix area.
Unfortunately, constant change in a forever growing industry has
permitted many wedding venues to replace their professional coordinators
with high pressure sales associates. This can be disastrous to couples
that believe their venue is providing a well trained, experienced
coordinator when all they are actually providing is someone on site
to begin the ceremony and oversee a basic schedule.
Repeatedly, Erika witnessed wedding after wedding go terribly wrong
due to a lack of preparation or unprofessional coordinators. She
began to see that couples were too often being taken advantage of
by inflated prices and then delivered deflated service.
As a result, Erika founded Wedding Concepts in 1995. She utilizes
her vast experience in the wedding industry, as well as her hardnosed
business skills, to maximize her client’s dreams while decreasing
the strain on their wallet.
